Coins that launch with weight.
Most coins launch light and roll with every wave. On Ballast, a share of every trade sinks into the coin’s own pool as a bid under the price, and stays there for good.
every coin opens at this market cap
fee on each buy and sell, paid in ETH
of that fee sinks below the price as a bid
One percent, three holds.
Every buy and sell pays 1% of its ETH side, taken by the coin itself. Wallet-to-wallet transfers pay nothing.
whoever floated the coin
the operator's wallet, the same for every coin
laid into the pool as a permanent bid
What goes below deck stays there.
Anyone can call stow() on a coin. It takes what gathered in the ballast and lays it into the pool as ETH sitting under the price — a bid that sellers can sell into. The coin contract owns it and has no code to remove it: not the creator, not the house, nobody.
It is not a promised floor. The stones grow with trading; quiet water means small stones. The exact limits are in the contract.
One LP NFT per coin. Its holder is shown, always.
All 1,000,000,000 coins sit in one Uniswap position, and that position is an NFT. At launch the creator picks where it goes, and every coin’s page reads the holder live.
The NFT goes to the creator's wallet, unlocked. They can pull the liquidity at any time, and the page says so. $BLST, the house coin, is held this way by the deployer.
The NFT is tied up at the Bollard and released only to the creator after the date. The date can be pushed later, never earlier.
The NFT is tied up with no release. No function in any Ballast contract can move it again.
The stones stay in the pool even if the main LP is pulled. On GMGN, expect Burnt to read ✗ for every coin: the LP is held or locked, never burned.
Coins afloat
reading the harbour…
Ballast is run by one operator. The operator’s wallet is the house: it takes the house share of every coin and is the only wallet that can float $BLST, once. On $BLST the operator is also the creator, so it receives both shares, and $BLST’s LP NFT sits in that same wallet, unlocked.
